This broadcast spot ran in the weeks leading up to the Super Bowl, DraftKings' single biggest season of the year for new registrations and deposits. Through our NFL partnership we had a co-branded logo lockup and access to the official Super Bowl style guide, which drove the whole look: bold imagery and a striking gradient palette running from pink through purple to turquoise.

The concept was a play on the word "comeback." It was a remarketing spot aimed at customers who had deposited before but had gone quiet, inviting them to make their own comeback for a deposit match up to $250. It opens on the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history, the Patriots clawing back from 28-3 to win 34-28, then turns that into the pitch: the biggest comeback yet is yours.

I built the spot entirely in After Effects, using Element 3D for the phone and leaning heavily into kinetic typography, stretching and shaping the fonts to create lines of motion and pull the eye through the frame. It was a team effort with an art director and copywriter, with in-house voiceover talent. A fun one to make, and it got a lot of exposure.
